Taking action and the OODA loop
When you feel stagnant or stuck in place, the best way to reveal what you should do next is to take action.
The OODA loop was created by former US Air Force Colonel John Boyd -- it stands for Observe, Orient, Decide, and Act. Essentially, as we take action, we gain new information which we must observe. We then orient ourself in space (or where we are in relation to our goals), decide on the next best course of action, and finally (and most importantly) we act.
Action is the key to progress, but we often need to change our next steps based on information that becomes available to us. The OODA loop can help when you feel stuck in a rut.
As always, thanks for tuning in!
