Taking small actions to build momentum
When I find myself in a rut (which happens often), the best thing I can often do is take some small action to build momentum in a positive direction.
While I typically encourage people to start work on their hardest tasks first each day, this strategy fails when inertia is keeping me in place. By moving in some small way, by taking some positive step forward, I can often compound that progress to do something important.
