Competition is a vital part of the human experience. Since the dawn of early man, we have been biologically wired to struggle and survive.
Modern comforts rob us of this aspect of humanity. It's very possible to go through life living safely, going through the motions, and waking up 60 years later unfulfilled.
Competition as I define it is having skin in the game. It's putting yourself out there. It's taking risks. It's putting your name and reputation behind your decisions. Ultimately, it's competition against yourself.
Without this, we cannot become our best selves. With it, we can achieve our true potential.
