I got a taste of success and praise when I got a surprisingly high score on a high school entrance exam. It kickstarted an adult life spent seeking external praise and validation. While I was achieving things that I had set out for myself, I still never felt like I belonged.
My imposter syndrome became crippling, causing me to perform at the level of my negative inner voice. It wasn't until I learned to step away from my desire to achieve that I began to appreciate the small moments in life.
From there, I could regain self-confidence and feel like I belonged. This episode is a personal story of my struggles, my failures, and my journey on the other side.
As always, thanks for tuning in!
